Park on Aug. 14, 2025. Mayor McLean, City Councilmember Willits, Boise Parks and Rec. Director Doug Holloway and CNA President Kathy Graham spoke about this momentous occasion and what a joy it is to represent 12,000 residents of West Boise and be surrounded by neighbors, friends, & community leaders
as we honor the many people who worked tirelessly to bring us to this groundbreaking event.

Today, we broke ground on the final phase of McDevitt Park for future memories, future connections and all the experiences that this space will hold for generations to come. We want to thank Mayor McClean and District 1 Council member Willits, Boise Parks and Recreation team, and our 12,000 West Boise neighbors for their vision, perseverance and dedication to this project.

Neighborhood Association individuals, Larry Ice, Joe LaGue, Rob Levitt and Gary Dufault. These gentlemen endlessly gave their time, resources, and voices in helping the community shape what this park should be and we thank them sincerely for their dedication to this park.

Parks are more than green spaces — they are places of belonging and this groundbreaking is about ensuring that belonging continues to grow here for decades to come. This is not an ending, but the continuation of a new park story at McDevitt Park that we are writing together with vision,
teamwork and pride.
